About krogat
krogat is a friends-first restaurant guide for Stockholm. You log where you eat, rate it from 1 to 10 in fifteen seconds, and see every restaurant scored by the people whose taste you actually trust.
Why it exists
Picking a restaurant in Stockholm today means Google's 4.3 stars from 1,800 strangers, Tripadvisor's tourists, a guide that comes out once a year, and a group chat asking "where was that place in Vasastan?". None of them answers the real question: of the places near me, which would the people I trust send me to?
A rating from someone whose taste you know is worth more than a hundred anonymous stars. krogat is built around that one idea.
Who it's for
People in Stockholm who eat out and have opinions about it. The friend who rates at the table before the plates are cleared. The one who opens the map on Thursday to decide where to book on Saturday. And the handful of people whose recommendations everyone already screenshots.
Why Stockholm, and why small
krogat starts in one city on purpose. A personalised score only works when your circle has actually been to the places, so it grows neighbourhood by neighbourhood, friend by friend. It is in private beta, and it is a website that installs to your home screen like an app: no app store, just a link.
What we won't do
- Sell the score
- No paid placement, no sponsored rankings. Nothing bought or generated can move a number.
- Blend in other sites
- Google, Tripadvisor and the guides are shown as context beside the score, never mixed into it.
- Scrape
- External data comes from official APIs and hand-kept guide lists only.
- Use stars
- Tens, in halves. Stars squeeze every restaurant into 4.1–4.6 and stop meaning anything.
