krogat is a private beta. These terms are short because the product is simple: you log restaurants, we show your friends what you thought. Using krogat means you agree to them.
Who you are dealing with
krogat is provided by the operator of krogat. During the beta it is free and may change, pause or shut down; if it shuts down you will get notice and a way to export your data.
Your account
You must be 16 or older. One account per person, under your own name or usual handle; no anonymous or impersonating accounts. Keep your sign-in email secure. You are responsible for what is posted from your account.
Ratings must be honest
The whole product rests on real opinions from real visits. Do not rate places you have not been to, do not rate your own restaurant or your employer’s, and do not trade, sell or coordinate ratings. Scores from accounts that break this are excluded, and the account may be removed. Nothing can be paid for that moves a score.
Your content
You own your ratings, notes and photos. You give krogat a licence to show them to the members you allow and, in aggregate, on restaurant pages and share cards, for as long as you keep them on krogat. Notes are limited to 280 characters and are not reviews: say what you thought, not what someone is. Do not post content that is defamatory, hateful, illegal, or that you do not have the right to post.
Photos may show other people. Only upload photos you took, and take them down if someone in them asks you to. Anyone can report a rating or photo; we may remove content that breaks these terms.
Other people’s data
Imported Instagram lists, tagged friends and circles exist only to connect you with people you already know. Do not import lists that are not yours, tag people who were not there, or use krogat to contact people who do not want to hear from you.
Restaurant data
Restaurant facts come from Google Maps Platform and, where shown, Tripadvisor, Foursquare and published guides, each under their own terms. Do not scrape krogat or use it to bulk-extract restaurant or member data. Scores are opinions of members and are provided as-is; a restaurant is never obliged to us and we are never obliged to it.
Ending things
You can delete your account in Settings at any time, which removes your data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, after a warning where that is reasonable.
No warranties, limited liability
krogat is a beta provided as-is. We do not promise it will be available, error-free, or that the friend score will be right about dinner. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for krogat, which during the beta is nothing.
Law
Swedish law applies. Disputes go to the courts of Sweden, with Stockholms tingsrätt as first instance, without prejudice to consumer rights that cannot be waived.
